Wow! What a Spec-Tac-u-Lar night for the Team Hope Charity Event. The weather was awesome and the menu was tasty, but let’s not linger there, because there is so much more to talk about. I have had the pleasure of attending this event 3 years now and it keeps getting better and better. This year Team Hope tickets sold out way before the day of the event and the venue couldn’t have been any better, well, that’s my take on it. The Gorgeous Ceresville Mansion did an amazing job hosting the affair and the staff was very attentive. I could barely pay attention and keep my camera in focus with the servers bringing by all those little treats. I’d say no thank you, but Carl would say, “C’mon it’s delicious”. He was not lying!
Ok, so these fantastic ladies, Team Hope-(please like on face book), are an amazing set of women who come together every year to raise money for breast cancer patients and they fight for one mammogram at a time. However, these women have been raising funds to furnish more than just a few mamos. Tons of mammograms (not quite, but it’s a goal) each year are performed on men and women who have no insurance or benefits. And because of these amazing sweet caring ladies and the hard efforts they have put forth toward this horrible thing called cancer the under privileged are being served more and more here in our lovely home of Frederick County. Of course, I have to also mention the community who comes out to support the team and most importantly the cause.
I love hearing the success stories and where there are tears there is room for joy and fun. Therefore, I can’t go without mentioning the entertainment and how it’s an absolute blast to watch the team in action! The MC is hilarious. The cowboys are handsome devils! They can talk you out of the very last penny while working for the one and only Lady Auctioneer Extraordinaire, Dana Dudely.
